I live in Oklahoma and have a property in Texas that needed to be painted (interior), carpeted, and several other projects. I needed to be able to trust whomever I hired to be on site without supervision and to do quality work. Well I hit the jackpot with Wilfredo and Juanita!! I LOVED working with them as they were extremely fast in responding to my requests and completing all jobs. I honestly cannot believe how quickly they painted and carpeted my home and it looks amazing. They also did some repairs to the exterior of the home as well such as new shutters, replacing window boxes, fixing bricks that were loose, fixing my fence gate, etc... They were so kind, quick and I was never waiting to hear from them; this is a big deal. If you are considering hiring them for a job, please do, you will be fully satisfied.

Exterior paint jobs depend on the house’s square footage, though the number of stories and other variables will affect the price. The cost is typically between $1 to $1.80 per square foot. A a 1,500 square foot house would cost the customer $1,500 to $2,500 and a 3,000 square foot house would cost the customer $3,500 to $4,500, according to Painting Leads. House Painting Thornton
It’ll cost you between $500 and $1,000 to paint the exterior yourself. Not including paint, it’ll cost you no more than $200 to $300 at a home improvement store like Home Depot, Lowes or Menards. You may end up spending more if you buy high-quality products from specialized shops. Professionals can get the same supplies for about half what you’ll pay.
If your home or apartment is more than 30 years old (constructed prior to 1978), there is a high chance that the current paint on the walls and window/door trim contains lead. This is a serious health hazard, especially if there are small children living in the home. If you suspect that there may be lead paint on your walls, its best to test for it and remove it, before putting on new coats of paint. Thornton House Painters

If you have two weeks, a ladder and some experience, this makes an excellent DIY project. On most surfaces, it is forgiving of mistakes and easy to work with. Correcting mistakes only adds more time and not much more expense. However, a professional will get it done faster and with a better finish. If you don’t have 2 to 3 weeks to spare, find a professional painter near you today.
You can expect to pay between $700 to $3,000 to paint wood siding. You’ll end up spending $1 to $3 per square foot, but typically you’ll find this material is cheaper than brick or vinyl. Wood requires some type of sealant, be it paint, stain or oil. Lumber takes well to a wide variety of coverings giving you endless options for modern, contemporary or classic looks. Some things to consider when choosing wood:
Better paints are thicker because they have a higher percentage of resin to water. You’ll pay more because there are more raw ingredients in the can, but each gallon covers more surface area and hides older colors more thoroughly. All-in-one paint and primer formulas are thicker versions of regular paint, and their coverage is exceptional. In the long run, you’ll save by using less, and the results will speak for themselves. The truth is that there are a lot of things that can go wrong with a sloppy painting job and the crappy results will be instantly visible. Prepping the ceiling and walls as well as carefully repairing any damages is 50% of a successful job. However, cheap painters typically rush through this part of the project. Consequently, you see small holes in the walls, paint stains, bubbling paint and other ugly errors. Thornton House Painters
How much paint will you need? It takes about 8 gallons per coat to cover a 2500 square-foot house with wood or metal siding. Two coats are usually recommended, making the cost of paint $640 – $1440 depending on the per-gallon cost. Textured or porous siding, such as stucco or concrete, have a greater surface area and require up to twice as much paint for full coverage.
Expect to pay between $600 to $3,500 or $1.25 to $3 per square foot to coat vinyl, with prices likely increasing for the finish. It is one of the more inexpensive siding materials to have repainted, especially with recent innovations in materials. Changing the finish on your siding is not recommended unless it's completely degraded and worn away by the weather. You can save nearly half the vinyl siding installation cost of $4 per square foot by painting rather than replacing. Before adding a new coat to vinyl siding, House Painting Thornton

Carlos and his team at Deca are exceptional. Obviously I am not the only one who thinks so. They are dependable and trustworthy. They do just what they say they are going to do, and it is very important to them that you are pleased with their work. I hired them when I was going through a lot of changes and selling my home after over 40 years there. They made it so beautiful, I didnâ t want to sell, but I did and it sold quickly because of Decaâ s work. They are very skilled and their work is impeccable. I was very, very pleased. Their prices are fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality. I refer them to all of my friends. I had to move from Dallas for a bit, but am returning. I am glad I know who I can call when I have my new place. Thornton House Painting
Most of a projects price is the cost of labor at $25 to $75 per hour. However, most contractors bid out based on the entire project which includes all work hours. Hourly rates are only useful if your pro asks to do the job as “time and materials.” However, be wary of this pricing structure, it usually shows the contractor is uncertain how long the project will take. Painting is one of the quickest and easiest ways to give your home's interior a facelift with dramatic results. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that difficult. Home improvement stores offer samples that you can take home. With these samples, you can try a few colors in large swaths on your wall to see the how the paint interacts with the room's natural light. Compare it against design elements like pillows or furniture to see whether it will work with your overall décor. Thornton House Painters

You’ll spend between $500 and $3,000 or $1 to $3.50 per square foot to paint concrete. However, expect to pay $2 to $7 per square foot since concrete almost always needs a coat of primer first. Double that price if the concrete requires stripping. Concrete is porous. Sealing it not only helps blend foundations and walls with your home’s aesthetic, but also seals it against water. Repairing or resurfacing concrete costs $300 to $500 for every 100 square feet.

The artwork in this living room designed by Kingston Lafferty truly comes to life when paired with the color-blocked ceiling, walls, and fireplace, the sputnik light, and patterned chairs. In fact, the space itself is like a work of art. To replicate this look, opt for a lighter shade of blue on the largest section of the wall and then a more saturated shade of blue on a small piece, like a fireplace.

Nothing quite radiates like joy like coral (as far as paint colors are concerned, at least). In this bedroom by Nicky Kehoe, it picks up the bright tones featured in the gallery wall while the trimming, which is a darker gray color, reflects the cooler neutrals in the bedding and accents. Under direct light, it appears brighter, while it mimics the more muted shade of terra cotta in dimmer or less direct light. Thornton Home Painting

Without a doubt, it's a look that rarely goes wrong. When you have a traditionally styled home with plenty of trim and other details, you best serve that home aesthetically when you increase the contrast between the trim and the field color. For the broad white trim of this new-construction home, Illinois-based JB Architecture wisely shaded down the field color's gray to emphasize its difference from the white trim.

When speaking with painter I specifically asked if two coats would be used. Was told I would be totally happy with work when finished. Everything was sprayed and with only one coat. The paint is wiping right off the walls. I was told touch up paint would be left in the garage and no paint was left. I have noticed that several trim edges were not painted and tried to contact the owner with no response. Not at all happy. When I pointed out that the paint was easily wiping off was told it was because of the color I chose. I’ve owned two homes and have never had such a poor paint job.
Tudor-style home exterior paint jobs are characterized by one thing: dark trim against a lighter field wall color. Heidi Nyline of Warline Painting, in Vancouver, British Columbia, notes that these browns and blacks are a shout-out to the Tudor's historical past when the trim was made of natural wood that had been oiled and darkened over time. What really wins the game, though, is the zesty red front door that beckons owners and visitors alike to visit this gorgeous property. House Painting Thornton

I found DECA on HomeAdvisor while searching for a contractor to price out painting my new condo. Carlos from DECA was prompt and came out that week to give me an estimate. What I didn't realize was that Carlos and his team were also full scale remodelers doing flooring, plumbing, electrical (new outlets, ceiling fans, pendant lights, etc.) in addition to painting. I got estimates from 6 firms, and it made the most sense to proceed with Carlos and his team since they could do everything I needed done, within a very short 2-3 week time period. I also thought their estimate was very fair and in line with the others. Plus, his thought process was def aligned with the things I wanted to do, and I got the vibe he would be a good fit for this project. This was my first condo purchase and remodel, and needless to say, we have all heard the stories of contractors that don’t show up, do sloppy work, go way over budget, or disappear after getting some money. I am here to tell you, Carlos and his team at DECA were great from beginning to end. They were there to get the job done, and any issue or questions I had along the way, Carlos was happy to answer or solve, in person or via text. He was also very prompt in all communications. DECA painted my entire place, from doors, to walls & ceilings, and all vents, ripped up and redid my kitchen and bathroom floors, installed a new toilet, bathroom vanity, regrouted my tub, installed ceiling fans, pendant lights, redid my island and counter tops complete with an under mounted sink, and even helped me turn my coat closet into a cocktail/bar closet by removing the door, installing my wine fridge (where he ran new electric for), a quartz countertop (cut from the larger slab I used in kitchen) and painted the interior as I described to him. If they ever had a question or concern, Carlos would text or call me for clarification. I consider myself VERY lucky to have made the right decision in the project. All of his 5 star reviews on this site are legit and well-deserved. I am more than thrilled with the results of his work and would not hesitate to use him in the future. If you are looking for a contractor you can trust, DECA is the place. It's the little things: The last day, as Carlos was finishing up some minor things, I was bumbling around trying to change out the locks on my front door”he noticed I'm not great at anything involving tools, and quickly took over and did it for me. I had some extra materials to take back for a refund at Floor & Decor”he stopped what he was doing, and grabbed boxes of tile, and helped me load them to my car without me asking. Cleaned the place after done -- enough that I could move in without having to worry about it. I had a screen from one of the bedroom windows sitting on the floor, and they popped it into place for me mentioning. Thanks Carlos! Thornton House Painters

Staining a deck costs $540 to $1,000. Covered porches might hit $2,000. Consider negotiating the price a bit lower by combining it with a full exterior job. Painting handrails can run anywhere from $1 to $2 per linear foot, depending on whether it’s wood, metal or some other material. Although you might think this is an easy $30 to $100 job, most painters charge a minimum fee regardless of the size of the project. You’ll probably end up paying at least $150.

Most siding material needs at least some sort of scraping, sanding or stripping before repainting. Chipped or bubbled paint not firmly adhered to a surface creates a weak area that leaves fresh paint more vulnerable to damage. Scraping removes large loose pieces. Sanding then smooths the edges of whatever paint remains. Keep in mind the process varies based on the type of siding. Thornton Home Painting
Oil-based products have a reputation for durability, but latex and acrylic have come a long way. High traffic areas, such as porch floors, benefit from oil paints, but latex and acrylic are excellent choices other surfaces. They’re less expensive, require only water to clean, and most are low-VOC. Your contractor will work with you to choose paints based on your needs and area weather conditions.
